Instant Messaging is hot and probably the most popular service for doing this is with AOL Instant Messenger (AIM). Many people have commented on how they could add a little AIM chat onto their blog. So here's how to do it.
- Visit http://wimzi.aim.com/ to sign up for your WIMZI widget. You will need to be an AOL Instant Messenger subscriber or an AOL subscriber to use the WIMZI. Good news is that its free.
- I've highlighted the areas in green that you need to pay attention to once you have signed in to the page, at the middle right hand side of the page
Give your widget a name and the name you wish to display. - Make sure Location check is "No"
- Choose the "Mini" size
- Choose your favorite Theme
- You can create your greeting and offline message.
- Agree to the terms and hit "Create it"
On the next page, select "Flash" and the copy the code that is displayed in the box below "COPY & PASTE"- In your Active Rain profile, click the settings tab
- In the "Blog Description", paste the code.
You're done!
