We get Hurricane days, not snow days here. One of my kids first hurricane days I called a snow day and I had to explains it. It's 54 degrees today. Artic!
How nice, Sarah. I can't wait to see some of the white stuff fall here in the Atlanta area. Actually, we wouldn't mind seeing anything wet falling from the sky here. HAHA
It's that time of the year again. We haven't had any yet this year in Virginia but, they keep saying that it is coming. My 9 year old is ecstatic she can't wait for the white stuff to start. Good luck today
Hey....you have my same reindeer and my same snow. Do you also have that $100 gizmo I got from Home Depot that has music playing and lights flashing that makes my house something Chevy Chase would envy?
Sarah - well no wonder he's feeling faint, he's trying to stand up going uphill!! Poor thing, and he doesn't even have a coat on in that weather. Dogs get little coats, how come your poor deer wasn't dressed accordingly?
When my kids were in school I loved snow days not snow delays. Snow days were a day off from the hub bub and an excuse to do things around the house like bake cookies, play games and make homemade pizza. I say if it is going to snow then have at it, snow all day long.
Sarah - I hear ya, I thought for sure there would be a school delay this morning for us as well, so I woke up early with the intent to see the delay, reset the alarm and go back to bed. Only there was no delay, and once the kids heard me up, so were they !
Sarah, Ahhhhh, I remember snow days in PA. I would hear that school was delayed, roll over to go back to sleep and then the phone would start ringing from all my neighbors who would want me to watch their kids because they had to leave for work. Oh well, time to get up and entertain all the kids. Now, in Las Vegas, we don't get snow days. That is fine by me, I can do without the snow! Keep posting snow pictures, I love looking at the snow.
Hi Sarah: Gee, isn't it funny how things change. When I was in grade school, I used to pray and pray we'd get snow, and have a snow day. Then, when my Robin was in grade school... I used to pray and pray we wouldn't get snow... so she could go to school. Funny how things change. Cute post... thanks for sharing.
Karen Anne - I still like snow days. Change in routine, happy kids ... as long as we have power and food we're good!
Roberta - I could have another snow one for you this morning. :o)
Chris - And not getting to sleep in late??
Melissa - I've had that happen before! Now that mine are getting older, they fight for that extra sleep. :oD
Lysa - I wondered if anyone would ask! It's because of these which Chris Griffith posted about a while back. We've had some wind and my reindeer kind of looked like this.
Judy - Yep, that's what it's all about!
Ann - ;o) We're so mean to our reindeer.
John - Nope, no gizmos. We have some lights and reindeer and that's about it. I have a hard enough time just getting them out every year!
Rich - I'd be awake now anyway, huh?
Lisa - My Scoop has been neglected. I should be writing for it right now ... why am I not???
Dez - Do I get to participate in Dezdon'twannawork Day? If so then YES, we can have one.
Suzanne - Didn't have to go! ;o)
Matthew - I would share!
Vincent - I hope you got to see some snow, too! After our dry summer, I wouldn't mind a lot of snow this year.
