THE TOP 10 REASONS WHY Hanukkah IS BETTER THAN CHRISTMAS

10. There's no "Donny & Marie Hanukkah Special."
9. Eight days of presents (in theory, anyway).
8. No need to clean the chimney.
7. There's no latke-nog.
6. There aren't any rap Hanukkah songs.
5. You won't be pressured to buy Hanukkah Seals.
4. You won't see, "You're a Putz, Charlie Brown."
3. No barking dog version of "I had a Little Driedl."
2. No pine needles to vacuum up afterwards.

and the Number 1 reason why Hanukkah is better than Christmas...

1. Blintzes are cheaper to mail than fruitcakes.

I love all the trappings of Christmas truly, whether its red, green, pink, silver, turquoise, its the spirit that makes it all so wonderful. people are mostly nicer at Christmastime. (and the cookies are awesome)

uuummmm.... it's Blue, Silver and White.

I've trained Hubby well. I get gifts all eight nights. :-)

Night # 1 - Got a portable heater to take to work. It's freezing here at my desk!

BLR, you are playing with "fire" with this post IMO (I understand it is humor) but if someone posted the reverse, it could get ugly. Posting a message about Hanukkah, Christmas (or any other religion) is a lot different to people than saying one is better than the other (even in jest).

Santa Charles..you sure are the devil's advocate today..;) #1..I am not politically correct and never will be....this blog is not to insult anyone...it is to make those smile.....if someone is this thin skinned..be it for Christmas or whatever...they need to get over it.

Fruitcake should be OUTLAWED!! (or served in jail)

Susie..does anyone actually eat that stuff or does it just get re-gifted each year?LOL

We actually re-gifted a fruitcake 3 times at a family Christmas gathering! One of the funniest of my Christmas memories!

I forgot who ended up with it, but is may still be in a landfill somewhere!

How do these fruitcakes last so long?Wouldn't this make great insulation in your house....sure beats foam and asbestos.....gee Martha it is nice and toasty in here....how come?Oh John...we are now insulated with fruitcake..it lasts forever!
