Feb. 27th Prosperity And Tithing

I am ending this month long series on "Prosperity Secrets" talking about Tithing.  I heard tithing first in my local churches growing up.  It was said that you should give 10% of your earnings to the church.  For most people this probably seems hard to do.  And then on top of that why would you do this?

For me I never really understood tithing and did not do it until I entered my later 20's.  It was at that time that I had several challenges in my life, not to mention financial struggles, that I was seeking the help of God.  During my search for God's help financially all things pointed to tithing.  I read several books on tithing and the blessings that came from it. So I thought I would try it.

At first I really did not have the deep faith and trust in giving that tithe. So the first couple years I was an inconsistant tither.  It seemed like a struggle because I really needed the money I thought.  As I continued to grow and stretch my understanding and faith I saw tithing actually work as a blessing on my life and finances.

In fact as I trusted in the tithe I had my best years in Real Estate.  Things seemed to flow for the most part in 2008-2010.  Then I got a little lazy with the tithe (inconsistent) in late 2010 and that made it hard to get on track in 2011.  I noticed later in my 2011 year that my income had really dropped.

I knew what to do.  I knew to get back on track with my tithing.  Its now interesting see how this year is started to come together and looks to be a great year.  When I tithe I feel more confident. I have built up that trust and faith that the tithe prospers. 

I understand that this story will not convince you to tithe.  I will share more details on the power of tithing the next couple of days.  However, I want to point out that this whole series really comes down to your own diligence of study and application of prosperity methods.  That means I am introducing them or re-introducing them to you.  You go deeper for YOURSELF into what you need to get on track in your life.  Tithing, when done with KNOWING is the top prosperity secret of them all.
