Despite what images you get on the local and national news, there were brief clearings in the rain and wind today - and I seem to have caught most of them. I had a few appointments outside of Puyallup today that took me up Hwy-167 and I-405. I didn’t have any trouble with traffic heading north, and my trip back to Puyallup around 3:30pm was met with mild traffic.

As soon as the sun disappeared though, I found the rain - in buckets. Thankfully my wife and I live in South Hill and don’t have to worry too much about the possibility of flooding. It does make it… fun, to try and get around though.

Speaking of appointments, I had the opportunity and pleasure to meet Rhonda of The Mortgage Porter today. She’s smart, funny, interesting, and if you haven’t been paying attention to her blog, knows a great deal about the mortgage industry. I’m glad to have met her and to call her a business partner.

Hopefully she made it home OK without a boat. If not, apparently you can hitch a ride with a salmon these days - maybe that could work out.
