Having just spent four hours (24,000 words) listening to a leading real estate motivation speaker and trainer who's initials are MF, speak on the current real estate market, I came away with a few questions. MF indicated that this is a unsettle market of which we have not seen the bottom. He also spoke in terms of having 50-60 listing for each sales person. He also said  quote do not expect this market to change until 2010 or 2011. As I said his presentation left me with a few questions;

  • According to The National Associataion of Realtors, and California Association of Realtors we should see a recovery start to occur in 2008.
  • The wild card is what will happen with the mortgage industry as to a person qualifying for a loan. MF thinks this quagmire is only going to get tougher. No light at the end of the tunnel.
  1. Here in sunny San Diego, the inventory is at a all time high, if the market were to turn around today, we have at least a two year amount of homes to sell.
  2. So, I would like to know do you think this speaker is right and we have a long and difficult road ahead for the next three years?
  3. How many months of inventory are you dealing with in your area?
