The Potomac Club community located on 200 acres in Prince William County was recently named the best selling planned community in the Northern Virginia area by the Hanley Woods Market Intelligence report which tracks new home developments across the area.
Three recognized builders; Pulte, Ryan and M/I homes are working with the Kettler Brothers on the development of the area and are making great progress in transforming the area into a mixed use neighborhood that includes townhouses, condos and commercial space.
The most notable part of the development for owners is the recreation center that opened this summer. Costing close to $12 million the center has both indoor and outdoor pools, a rock wall, billiards room, business center and is a WiFi hot spot for residents who want a chance to work close to home.
When the development is finished it will be the only gated community in Eastern Prince Wiliam County but for now the gates are open for the construction trucks and visitors to make their way through the site.
Located strategically between two VRE stations, a quick hop to the HOV lanes on 95 and with a choice of bus ride lots the location works well for owners who needed to get into DC. It also is a good location for military who are stationed at either Fort Belvoir about a 10 mile drive to the north or Quantico a reverse traffic drive 15 miles to the south.
With all of the options for shopping such as old town Occoquan or Potomac Mills Mall or the outdoor activities at Prince William Forest Park or Belmont Bay owners in Potomac Club won’t have a hard time finding something to do when the leave the neighborhood. The new Potomac Town Center which will bring a pedestrian-friendly main street to the area is underway and the Wegman’s grocery store is scheduled to open next spring.
