I have been saving this special post for my 100th post -- because it's big news and I've just about been busting trying to be patient about writing about this.
A few days ago, I became an official member of The CORE.The CORE is a network of Lancaster County women who are working together to empower women with real estate. The brainstorm of Trish Kimmel of Arlington Capital, and her assistance Jacqui Howard,The CORE will be working together to assist women, and empower them, through their purchase of real estate.
If you are a single woman, a single mother, a woman who is making a very important decision about either the purchase or the sale of real estate -- whether it is a home or a commercial property to start or expand your own business -- you now have a group of professional Lancaster women who can stand by you -- guide you -- provide you with information -- and most importantly, support you.
The CORE will grow to incorporate more than just buying and selling real estate in Lancaster County.
We will be doing networking fundraisers to assist Lancaster County area women's non-profit organizations.
We will feature women-owned businesses on The CORE website.
We will feature articles about local women and how they have become empowered through the purchase of their own home.
Ever since my meeting with these women a week ago, I have been so excited about the prospect of being a member. I have assisted so many women buyers and sellers, single mothers, divorcees -- and now I, too, will have a network of other women professionals that I can refer new clients to.
An excerpt from The CORE website:
We Are The CORE, a new organization based in Lancaster County dedicated to empowering women in Real Estate. Our goal is to provide women with respect and compassion while they achieve their dream of home-ownership.
It is crucial that you feel comfortable and confident when beginning the home ownership process, and as fellow women we understand the importance of feeling respected.
It is of no surprise that there are more and more women who are acquiring homes without the help of a male figure, and it is about time that there is a group in our area dedicated to catering to the women.
WE ARE THE CORE, It's All About Respect. At this time the CORE is dedicated to helping women in real estate. The long term goal of the CORE is to expand to all aspects of a woman's life...we will work as a women's referral network.
The CORE ads, including the graphics that you see on this post and the "work in progress" CORE website (www.ThinkTheCORE.com) is the work of graphic designer, Anthony Smolenski (antaesthetic.com). My personal website, www.JeannieSellsLancaster.com , is not yet listed on The CORE site, but it's in the works! I just couldn't wait to post about it though!
As Helen Reddy said ~ I am STRONG. I am INVINCIBLE. I am WOMAN!
Monika - Isn't that video great! I don't know her, but I LOVE it! Sorry, but you will be humming that song for the next 3 hours, just like I was. Thanks for stopping by!
I am an old guy but I would guess 75% of my business is with women. Women can make decisions much faster and tend to be better listeners when it comes to real estate.
Eric -- Thank you for stopping by and commenting! I always find it very gratifying when I can help a woman buyer who is either a first time buyer, or newly divorced, and never thought that they could own a home on their own. It's very gratifying!
JEANNIE: This is a great service that you're providing. Congratulations on the 100th post being a memorable one. I always appreciate people that come up with positive ways to reach a specific target market. Good luck with this new project.
Congrats on your 100th post....I have a long way to go to get there.
I too find working with any first time home-buyer, that the gratification of a successful transaction and happiness that the buyer experiences is very fulfilling.....good luck.
ADAM - Thank you for your support! I am very excited about this new affiliation. It's a little baby network right now, but I anticipate great results. I have already gotten excellent feedback from some of my prospective women buyer clients, and I'm excited!
Dan -- Thank you for stopping by! I have to admit I find gratification in the successful close of any transaction, but yet, there is something special about a first-time homebuyer reaching a monumental goal. I appreciate your support!
How wonderful. I love my women friends! Heck don't get me wrong, the guys are great too in lots of ways. I just don't know where I would be with out my girlfriends!!!
Ann -- Thank you so much! Where can I see the Week-in-Review? I have been getting an awesome reception about this program from the women buyers that I have been meeting and speaking with since joining The CORE. I have high expectations that we are going to make a positive impact on many women's lives. Thank you for stopping by!
Joan -- Thank you for stopping by! It is very exciting, and so far I have been getting great feedback. If there isn't something like this in NH - maybe you should start one!
Ann - thank you for the link. I did finally end up finding it, and got to enjoy some of the other great posts too! I would never be able to narrow down all the posts I like to only 10 per week - what a tough job! Thanks again for the feedback.
Congratulations on your 100th Post! The song " I am Woman" is an anthem...It brought back memories and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. :) I'm glad Monika included this post in the Week in Review.
Congratulations on your 100th Post. Quite an accomplishment and this post was awesome - it kept me on the page for a long time - I loved it! Especially the SONG.
Lola - Thank you for stopping by and your kind comments. I was amongst great company in the Week in Review. :-)
Debbie - The song is a great one, isn't it?! I had fun writing this post. I was just about bursting at the seams waiting until the 100 mark to post it. Thank you for stopping by!
Jeannie ~ What a fabulous concept and plan. I formed a group a few weeks ago called We Are Women. Check it out, as my goal is to get women networking with women through our commonalities. I am hoping to start something similar in the New Year here in the tri-county area of Portland, Oregon.
Sarah - Thank you for visiting! I actually found your group the other day, and joined! I think it would be great if you started something similar in your area. Go for it, sister!
