Well...the long awaited number one reason to move to Del Norte County has at long last revealed itself.
It came to me as I was cracking and eating God's gift to those of us that live on the coast.
We have been the very thankful recipients of crab three times in the last week. I like it best cold in a cocktail, but it's great in soup, crab cakes, and however else you want to prepare these decapod crustaceans.
Opening weekend on December 1 provided eager Del Norters and consumers in the Bay Area and L.A. basin with loads of fresh crab (most of the crab was shipped live to these markets).
If you haven't experienced fresh Dungeness crab, you need to!

Here are a few more reasons to move to Del Norte County: No traffic, no smog, nice people, relaxing commute, fishing, surfing, hiking, bird watching, laying on the beach, kayaking, wind surfing, boating, hunting, yachting, rafting, no drought, fresh tuna, fresh salmon, Warrior's football, spectacular sunrise, mild climate and fresh crab...
