Here are the daily thoughts on floating or locking if you are asked by your clients.

As always - consult your favorite mortgage professional who will be able to offer the best advice for YOUR unique situation.

Initial Jobless Claims is the news of the day.  The report came in just over expectations (which is good news for bonds).  This coupled with the Bank of England cutting their Prime Rate could help give our bond market a lift.

Technically speaking - the FNMA 6.0% 30 year bond is sitting between a resistance and support level and still is in overbought territory.

Therefore recommendation is to

 cautiously float.

Edit - so cautiously that I am changing it to a

 Lock
