Crye-Leike Commercial expanded its operations to the Atlanta commercial real estate market in October 2007. Last month Crye-Leike Commercial held a "Commercial Forum" at The Marriott Hotel on Windward Parkway in Alpharetta, Georgia. This forum was the first of many planned for the division.
"I see a Commercial Forum as a great tool to learn and exchange ideas and property information among commercial agents, developers, builders and investors," said Adel Elmankabady, Managing Broker of Crye-Leike, Commercial in the Atlanta, Georgia area office. "Based on the turn-out and response to our first event, I foresee even more interest at our next event in January 2008." Managing Broker Adel Elmankabady served as the moderator of the forum, which attracted more than 60 real estate professionals.
- Crye-Leike, Commercial and O'Kelley & Sorohan Attorneys at Law, LLC sponsored this first of its kind forum. Joe O'Kelly and Deidra Sorohan had the opportunity to discuss its full menu of Real Estate services.
- Strategic Exchange Advisors, a firm that specializes in 1031 exchanges, was also a sponsor. Ricky Novak, the in-house attorney, discussed Real Estate investing and 1031 exchanges.
- National real estate consulting and acquisitions expert John Borzellino was the main guest speaker at the forum.
"For about 45 minutes Borzellino offered attendees his take on the market and outlook for 2008," said Elmankabady. "It's our goal to incorporate a guest speaker into each forum we hold, to engage, educate and excite those real estate professionals who desire to remain on the cutting edge of our industry."
Following Borzellino's presentation, those attending were able to share information on his or her current listings or client needs.
The next Forum, with a focus on Atlanta's Commercial Real Estate Marketplace will be held in January 2008. An announcement on the exact date, time, place and guest speaker is to be determined.
