Northern sector driving state's economy, an article from The Greeley Tribune, reports that the northern section of Colorado, particularly the Interstate 25 and 76 corridors, is the driving force behind economic development in the state, according to Don Elliman, director of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and Trade.  Larry Burkhardt, president of Upstate Colorado, said 2007 saw 2,000 new primary-sector jobs come into Weld County, adding that Greeley and Weld continue to be among the top in the nation in terms of economic prosperity.  The pair spoke at the quarterly investor/partner luncheon of Upstate Colorado Economic Development at the Greeley Recreation Center.
