Ok it's just a car. But she is hot and she does look good from the front or the rear views. And yes sometimes she talks to me ....The rumble of that big block 389 V-8 is music to the ears. I never named this car like some of the others we have worked on and restored. Her real name is 1966 Pontiac GTO. These cars were nicnamed "goats" by car lovers in the 60's. She carries a new modern stereo system and disc brakes, otherwise most everything else is original. Cold Factory air conditioning, 4 on the floor, power steering, buckets etc. GTO's were actually upscale muscle cars and were quite luxurious for the time period. We like to play period music while driving her. Just makes the experience more enjoyable!
THOSE EYES AND THAT SMILE!
WHAT A REAR...
IT'S WHAT'S ON THE INSIDE THAT COUNTS...
YOU CHEAP THING..YOU ......the factory sticker price. (these sheets are modern reprodroductions from production data)

Trey - That is one HOT car! I love GTO's from that time frame. I had a black 1970 GTO with red interior. I thought I was just way too cool in that car. You did a great job restoring this one.
Hi Trey, All I can say is the title made me read it...haha. How many cars do you have. I just showed this to Clay and he fell in love.... You and he will have to talk about old cars one day. I think he'd enjoy that. Great blog.
Sorry, These stickers are "reproduced versions of original" from the production order work sheets, which were often stuffed under seat springs or other hidden spaces in the cars. Those sheets are just as important as the sticker price sheet if not more so. To find one helps in resale value as there are lots of fake vehicles out there..Just like the tires and everything else on a car, the paperwork can be worn out.
Trey, what happened to the picture of you on your profile? That picture looks like something Brent would put up. ;) Oh wait, maybe Brent wouldn't put that up. Whatever was I thinking....
Four grand won't even make a down payment on a new one. It was originally named by none other than the famed Delorean. He was inspired by the Ferrari 250 GTO, the highly successful race car. It is an acronym for Gran Turismo Omologato, Italian for homologated for racing in the GT class.
