"Nobody owns the truth but EVERYONE has a little bit of it to offer."

Whether it be Politics, Religion, Real Estate, the 2012 NFL Draft, or the ergonomics of doing a head stand a day as being a healthy part of one's lifestyle ... most of us have an opinion.  Of the previous mentioned subjects, some may have little interest or no opinion at all.  Justin Beiber's hairline and what the hell happened to Billy Crystal's face if you watched the Oscar's may be a bit more important at the end for others.  But no matter what the subject, I believe the quote above to be the only bit of truth I can offer this Life.

And that is reason #78 that I enjoy blogging.

Without going into the semantics and history of it all, I'd rather point to the reality of the present:

Blogging can be a pretty beautiful thing.  I'm biased on this matter, as sometimes my only way of communicating what I really feel is via the written word.  Because that's the way I roll.  I'm abundantly immature in that matter.

For those who share their written words, kudos to you.  If you don't blog, no worries.

We've allowed ourselves the opportunity to express our opinions on a wide array of subjects because of this tool called blogging.  I think before this phenomenon came into being, it was called free speech or something.

For every person who blogs about what they had for lunch or updates their social status on the gas prices in certain parts of Miola, Pa ... there are those who just live their life and are quite uninterested with that type of bull-shit.

Being the proverbial wallflower that I can sometimes be, I watched a few conversations today.  I do that from time to many times.

While I miss to an extent blogging for business, I enjoy the freedom to blog about anything on my mind.  Besides, I did that anyway when I was supposed to be blogging for business.  I can't blame that on why the company went out of biz, but I can blame me for not being the Michael Jordan of the Team.

And that created a monster of sorts.  But this monster loves blogging, reading, learning, and knowing that the next bit of truth may be from someone I don't like or agree with on anything.

On a final note, I'm kind of pissed off the Steelers released Hines Ward.

"Nobody owns the truth but EVERYONE has a little bit of it to offer."

That's beautiful.

And that is blogging.

Go on and be beautiful and blog ... whether in writing or thinking.

Make the world a bit better than it was without you.  And that's my Gary Woltal moment of the day.

Hey Jason. Good to see you. I haven't been around much lately. Just too damn busy to write.

If folks want absolute truth then they can become a mathmetician. Just don't use the new made up numbers :)

May - You are lucky.  I am not.

James - Wonderful point.

JRT - Your buddy beat you to it.  But the 5% kickback still applies.

Christine - It does have its advantages:)

Russell - You should, my friend.  But you might want to blog about business rather than Interviews with God, Ron Paul, & Justin Beiber's haircut;)

I think I heard they got rid of Farrior, too. Hines was an integral part of my winning Fantasy Football team back in '04 or '05. Even the last couple of years I'd get him on my roster. I'd take him on the final round, just cuz. I'll miss him, too.

Jason,

Hating it for the Steelers.  As far as blogging, there should be no one out there with supressed feelings or stress from keeping things in when they can let it all out via blogging.

Blogging is an amazing tool Jason and you are fortunate to be free of the "bonds" that simply blogging for business keep you in.  There is so much freedom in blogging and especially in blogging as a way to share who you are and what matters most to you.

Like you...I am totally disgusted over the Steelers releasing Hines Ward.  I had the pleasure of meeting Hines in Hawaii several years back and he is everything off the field that he proves to be on it.  He will be missed!

Boy, you work hard at returning comments, too. There's lots of blue up there!

Cheryl - I try.  There are plenty of posts that I write where I don't acknowledge comments like some folks think I should.  Such is the etiquette of blogging and the differing philosophies in such.  My "I acknowledge your existence" retort doesn't go well with some circles.  So I try to be personal and all ... shaking hands, kissing babies, and bleeding blue.

Rebekah - I understand it from a biz sense, but my heart doesn't get it.  I guess that is why I'm not running an organization that's elite in most every facet.  Still, it's Hines ...

Larry - There is a fundamental bone in my body that thinks those Steelers will be okay.  They may lose to Houston in the AFC Championship next year, but they have at least one Superbowl (and they'll win!) in them in the next three years.

Eric - Ditto.  But I'm trying to abstain from the Fantasy Football gig ... I leave my bets on things I can control.  For example, who I can tear apart in an arm wrestling match at the next AR Gathering.  :)

Jason, this post was something I wish I had it in me to write.  Very commendable post, and, I guess that is why I stick to Localism posts because I don't write nearly as well.  Thanks for the inspiration.

This was really a pleasure to read. Kudos to Ron Marshall for passing it on. If it hadn't been for the blogging medium, I would never have started writing again.

Jason,
Russel Ray shared with my when I started on active rain to find my own voice.  Each one of us has a unique voice, and we are free to listen to those we want to listen to.

Today, I chose to listen to yours.
