There is a beautiful area in north Pinellas County that joins the corners of Pasco and Hillsborough Counties called Brooker Creek Preserve. This is a unique area of 8,300 acres dedicated to our native wildlife! Here you can enjoy wonderful hiking trails as well as equestrian paths. There is an environmental education center there as well as picnic tables for the entire family to have a fantastic day enjoying our state's breathtaking natural wonders!

Now Hillsborough County has purchased an adjoining area called the Wilde Tract, since it was owned by the Wilde family. This 1,018 acres will provide a larger corridor for migrating wildlife in the tri-county area. This new acquisition is also a major source for the area's drinking water, so this is indeed an important purchase that the Hillsborough County Commissioners agreed on.
