The Keystone Cops Alive and Well in Dallas $375 Million in Medicare Fraud and You've Just Now "Caught Them"???

This isn't about real estate and it's not about Dallas.  But it is about THE most asinine sound-bite I have EVER heard in my life.

Let me set it up . . . I'm listening to the radio and there's a news report about a Dallas doctor and several of his cohorts who were arrested because they "allegedly" managed to fraud Medicare out of . . . $375 MILLION DOLLARS.

That's $375,000,000 of TAX PAYER MONEY!

The sound-bite I heard was made by the Keystone Cop out of the Attorney General's office:

“Thanks to the historic partnerships we’ve built to combat health care fraud, we are sending a clear message: If you victimize American taxpayers, we will track you down and prosecute you," said Deputy Attorney General Cole.

And he said it all cocky and big-shot like. 

Hey Keystone . . . don't you think you'd be sending a CLEARER MESSAGE to doctors who commit Medicare fraud if you nabbed the fraudsters at around . . . oh, I don't know  . . . $1 Million?!?!?

As an American Taxpayer, I want to personally extend my THANK YOU!

Thank you Attorney General Cole, Eric Holder of the the ever so "we're on it" Dept. of Justice, and the geniuses of Health and Human Services under Secretray Kathlyn Sebelius for letting Dr. Jacques Roy and his cohorts only "victiminze" me, and my fellow American taxpayers, before it REALLY got out of hand.  {Rolling eyes} 

$375 MILLION DOLLARS -- how freaking hard is it to "track down" a Medicare fraud scam when it gets to be $375,000,000?  At that amount it's kinda like shooting fish in a barrel, no?!?

Didn't our wonderful government just spend $77 Million in a "fraud-detecting" computer system last summer?

Here's the thing, Medicare fraud has been going on, well, since Medicare came to be. 

And the Keystone Cops act as if they're heros for nabbing the doctor -- who was there . . . IN HIS OFFICE billing Medicare fraudulently for years and years and years (allegedly).  You couldn't figure the spikes in the payments to this doctor's office until the "victimization" to the American Taxpayers reached $375 Million?!? 

I think you need to take that $77 Million fraud-detecting computer system back to Office Depot for a refund.  You got SCREWED!

The REAL CRIME is that with all the sophisticated computer techies that are nerding up the planet, Medicare can't seem to find one that can program code to VERIFY MEIDCARE PAYMENTS.
