Ellie ....way to get the word out! We definitely need this deduction! Have a great day!
Hi Ellie, I can't imagine this even passing. Not being able to deduct mortgage interest will hurt many homeowners. Congrats on the feature!
Great blog and great job. Keep up the good work and good luck to you this year. Thanks.
Ellie since I live in Virginia, we will be watching this closely. If it get approved in Maryland, Virginia may try to do the same. Keep us posted.
The housing market in Maryland doesn't need another hit.
Maryland should not be leading the way on this - if implemented, other states are sure to follow. While the market shows signs of stabilization, it is hardly tracking up in a significant way in most Maryland counties. Eliminating the mortgage deduction will mitigate any improvement that has been made and probably initiate another round of decline driving revenues down further. If this precedent becomes more widespread in other states, it surely will create deeper decline nationally.
Ellie, I hope the attendance is large and the politicians are listening. Penny wise and dollar foolish, thinking they can generate more revenue by eliminating a deduction.
Ellie -- 20%? That is huge impact on the state budget. I hope they listen to you.
Ellie, And they listened to all the rained on Realtors®
Margaret
