Wordless Wednesday ~ Lincoln Speedway ~ ICEBREAKER 30
There is something exhilarating about the roar of the engines and the sweet smell of racing fuel in the air. We could hardly wait for the first hot laps to begin. This past Saturday was opening day at Lincoln Speedway, it’s called the ICEBREAKER because it’s held the last Saturday of February and it’s usually cold. Saturday was no exception, in fact the we were under a wind advisory! It honestly wasn’t bad, cold yes but not the coldest we have attended. 
The Icebreaker a limited race day, by that I mean only the 410’s run. This Saturday, March 3rd the 358’s & Thunder cars are scheduled to have practice runs however, by the looks of the weather report it may not happen. That’s okay race fans, we’ve got 30+ weeks of racing events ahead in the 2012 season at Lincoln Speedway.
