Henry's been very busy sniffing, sleeping and wagging lately so last night he was gifted with spa treatments; complete with mani, pedi, sponge bath and brushing of his pearly whites. Can you see his excitement?

Debra - He cowers and slowly but surely makes his way over...it's too cute!
Mona - King Henry!!! lol
Myrl - Really? I was thinking of throwing Hen in with me in the shower but I think that might end badly....
Janis - He does...every day he's waiting, tail wagging and it melts me again and again!
We let Brutus go swimming here at Canyon Lake TX. At 125 he doesn't fit in the sink. We did take him to the car wash one time and he loved it.
Hi Kerrie,
Cute little Guy, well deserving of a Spa treatment, although I am not so sure Henry would volunteer next time.....
Henry is just too cute! After it was all said and done did he run around the house burying his head in everything and showing his excitement??? He and my Reecie would have a great time together! Bad Mama, Bad! Good Henry, Good!!!!
Henry is so cute! I have a white chihuahua and she doesn't like baths until they are over and then she is so happy to be clean. My other chihuahua would rather never have a bath but I have a cute little terrier and she goes to the groomers monthly, wears bows or scarves and has her nails painted so the other two are so mad and jealous when she arrives home. They try to take off the scarves and bows. So funny how they all interact and their different personalities.
Hope Henry had a fun afternoon at the spa!
Hi Kerrie , I thought Friday was bath day ....... Hope he doesn't shrink when he dries out !!!
C&C - Now that picture would make a great Wordless Weds!
Pfanns - He never does, he's such a boy! :)
Deb - He ran around like a lunatic. It's like he knows he's sexy!
Kristin - I need to see a pic of that! Good thing Hen's not a girl or he might be right there with you!
Robert - Lol, he's good.
Conrad - You should get one...or 7! :)
Hello Kerrie. Seeing your little buddy Henry made me smile. He does seem thrilled, not.
Hi Kerrie!
Henry looks like he would rather have stayed smelly and au-naturel. Maybe it's a guy thing?
Jo
Sheila - I'm glad I could make you smile! Your comment had the same effect on me :)
Jo - Totally!
Too funny, Kerrie! I gave my little dog a bath this morning. He hates it though and poor little guy starts shaking at the mear mention of the word!:( He has hair though instead of fur so get down right stinky after just a few days.
Henry doesn't seem terribly excited about his spa treatment. At least it looks like it was quick.
Rub a dub, dub....let's scrub in the tub. How can I get my 130 pound Bernese in that? Will you wash him too?
DeeDee - The same with my dog, he cowers and gets those "poor me" eyes.
Than - Quick and painless for sure!
Kristine - He's my hero!
Larry - Ummm...no! Maybe you want to ask Carl, comment #21, about that!
Kerrie, I'm not seeing Henry's excitement. He looks more tolerant and obedient to me (LOL). I''m not seeing the pearly whites either. He is a cutie!
Hi Kerri, In order for our little ones to be part of homes and family, they need to be clean and they just get loved on so much more. What has always fascinated me is from little babies, they get washed and brushed and some never get to a point where the reward of all the extra love makes up for the misery them seem to suffer when the get washed. So it must be that their biology has instilled in them the gene for being natural in the wild and baths are just not a part of that. The smaller the dog the more fearful they are and the more tender the treatment and yet they look like they are terrified something will happen to them. After years of little ones, I have never figured out how to make it a fun experience that they actually look forward to ( after many $$ of trying everything under the sun) . Tearless shampoo, gentle warm baths, nothing really worked. Although they stopped fighting me when they were little puppies, they never looked very excited about the processes as they got older.
Henry looks like he feels. " What is this, I hate getting wet" " What did I do wrong" :-)
PS, I forgot to add that my little girls after they were clean and dried and brushed , loved looking at themselves in the mirror. " Ain't I beautiful" Go figure!
Kathleen - He's such a good boy. I should bring him into work...do they allow dogs on busses?
William - Well aren't you just the best?? I bet your girls are spoiled to the nth degree! I agree that they know they're all cute afterwards and have that "hey guys, look at me" feeling!
