That's a pretty big promise, and it certainly made me link from my favorite browsing site, BoingBoing.net, to a post by Jesse Thorn, creator and host of the Bullseye radio program and podcasts. There, I was treated to a 12-point program that promised to help me achieve the above-stated promise.
Now I'm not a big fan of x-step programs or any sort of self-help motivational stuff - and I'm not bragging about that, but that's just the way I am (pig-headed & stubborn?). So it was kind of strange that I not only found myself reading this post, but being impressed with it as well. Jesse Thorn not only lays out some pretty good advice, but with each step he tells an interesting illustrative story.
Here's a list of his steps, with his example in parentheses:
- Start Now (Kate Beaton)
- Make Deadlines (Jonathan Coulton)
- Keep Your Legs Moving (Killer Mike)
- Don't Confuse Content & Medium (BoingBoing)
- Be Authentic (Andrew WK)
- Follow Your Passion (Chris Hardwick)
- Focus On Great Work (Merlin Mann)
- Connect With People You Like (You Look Nice Today)
- Own What You Create (Felicia Day)
- Find The Money (Kasper Hauser)
- Build A Community (Insane Clown Posse)
- Do A Good Job

While this post isn't at all real estate-related, I'll give you a 97% guarantee that you'll be glad you took a look at it and that you'll come away with something you'll want to think about. How could you ask for more?
