I just had a closing on a $2800 land lot. It was a 0.3 acre buildable lot.
The good thing is that I received a $1000 commission. A person from Maryland saw it on my website, had a friend look it over and came down and bought it with cash.
I had received a call from an asset manager back in the summer and asked if I was interested in listing it. Since it was a vacant piece of land I figured it wouldn't require that much time. I wouldn't have to go there to show it. I could just have all the information on the website.
I got them to spend $325 for a survey which helped make the sale.
This is a property that the bank had foreclosed on back in 2008 for $164,311. How about that for a loss. Pretty crazy, isn't it.
