It's not just me who loves this Land Park home. Buyers and their agents are going gaga over it, too. My new Land Park listing hit the market yesterday morning. We have an open house scheduled for Sunday. My phone is ringing with buyer's agents asking when we will present all of the offers. If you're a first time home buyer looking for homes in Land Park, you better act fast. The truly desirable homes don't stay on the market for very long.
The sellers worked hard to prepare the home for sale. They scrubbed and polished and tweaked. They also interviewed other Land Park agents and ultimately decided to hire the agent they felt was the best fit and who would work hardest for them. Just because I was the number one Lyon real estate agent out of all of the hundreds and hundreds of agents at Lyon last month did not enter into their decision. I'm not really sure that clients care how many awards an agent earns. They chose me because I am a Land Park Specialist.
This home is simply incredible. You know how you can feel a vibe from a home when you first walk inside? This Land Park home is one of those. It immediately opens its arms and embraces you. There is a sense of history, of belonging; it makes you feel that happy people have lived in this home since it was built in 1933.
From the stained-glass diamond window and original tile floor in the entrance, to the hardwood floors, coved ceiling, white brick fireplace and large plated-glass windows (which you don't find anymore), you will simply fall in love; you can't resist it -- the architectural details are extensive. There is a built-in china cabinet in the dining room with glass doors. The kitchen was stripped down to the studs by the sellers and lovingly rebuilt to authentic character with custom tile, beautiful original-looking cabinets with glass doors, a built-in spice rack on one wall, plus 3 counters -- there is even space for a kitchen table.
The bath is stunning. Crisp white, crystal blue, ceramic, clean and sparkling. Even the precious antique-like free-standing blue vanity can stay if you so desire. It's part of the total package. An extra deep tub with a super large rainshower head is inviting. You'll discover extra storage space behind the door, too.
Moreover, the wistful "wish list" requirements any first-time home buyer would love are here; check out these additional features -- updated plumbing and electrical, newer roof, a tankless water heater, a whole house fan, central heat and air . . . no worries.
This bungalow sports 3 good-sized bedrooms. One of the bedrooms offers exterior access to the back yard and can do double duty as a home office, if you need space for that.
The yard is astonishing and filled with excitement. How cool is it that you can step out the door from the kitchen and pluck a juicy ripe heirloom tomato from the vine for dinner? You'll find raised gardens beds dotting the west side of the home, spilling over with colorful fresh vegetables and herbs. In the back, there is a Wisteria-covered pergola that transforms the yard into a magical private space.
But don't take my word for it. Come to the Open House on Sunday, March 4th, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. See the sweetest authentic bungalow I've ever seen in Land Park for yourself. It goes without saying, you should bring your checkbook.
