The question becomes, Fix it, or junk it?

If an electronic device cost less than $200, junk it without further thought. Repairing a relatively inexpensive item like a cordless phone or counter-top microwave is not cost-effective.

I will be faced with this soon. Thanks for the website. I have a duplex thats 18 years old with original appliances. I can just see doing 2 of everything at the same time.
