Recreation of any kind is great for families....
My family, including my two grown sons, have participated in many recreational activities over the years. This included Little League, Select Leagues, Jr. and Sr. High School Sports, fishing, camping, hiking, boating, skiing and hunting. The Parks & Recreation web sites listed here are for the counties around the Puget Sound area.
Family recreation and participation in activities whether it be school, community, or family based is a wonderful way for families to connect, have fun, and mature together. Team based activities teach children how to work with other people. Involvement with community teaches children how to help others while learning from different perspectives and lifestyles.
