In writing this post, I didn't necessarily want to promote DocuSign, but in thinking about how my business has become more efficient, I kept thinking about the use of DocuSign. I wish that all seller's would accept electronic signatures, since it is quicker, easier and saves trees! I don't like that FannieMae has verbiage in their addendums stating that electronic signatures are accepted, but then what they mean by this is that it is acceptable for them to use them, but not the buyer.
Now, with this being said, I enjoy using DocuSign, but the system sometimes has issues as well, which makes me consider using a different electronic signature provider, as I know there are many out there. I haven't researched any others, as it seems like DocuSign is very proactive in always looking for ways to make their product better.
One specific part of my business that has become more efficient through the use of DocuSign is for listing appointments. Being that I don't own a notebook, where prospects can sign documents right there, I will present and go over all of the documents that I will need signed. Once I am done with the appointment, I will head back home and upload the documents to DocuSign for them to sign off on. While they are signing off on the documents, I will complete the listing and upload the photos. This allows me to activate the listing as soon as I receive the signed documents back. Also, I don't waste any paper, nor ink from my printer, so not only does it save time, it saves MONEY!!!
