Seeing the President today with the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made me think of this scripture today.
Zephaniah 3:14-17
Joy in God’s Faithfulness
14 Sing, O daughter of Zion!
Shout, O Israel!
Be glad and rejoice with all your heart,
O daughter of Jerusalem!
15 The Lord has taken away your judgments,
He has cast out your enemy.
The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst;
You shall see disaster no more.
16 In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem:
“Do not fear; Zion, let not your hands be weak.
17 The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”
The United States is definitely a daughter of Jerusalem. Founded a hundred years after William Penn's holy experiment and prophecy of a whole nation being founded in Pennsylvania, the Keystone State, we are forever linked with the holy land. I pray for the peace of Jerusalem as God's Word has directed. Please join me. It's as simple as what we do in tacking it on the end of every prayer. When other family is here for dinners, if I forget to say it, I'm prompted by others... I love it, it's contageous. May the Joy of the Lord be yours today.
