This is a personal question - our water heater has gone out again and we are looking into getting the tankless water heater. Does anyone have any experience with them and if they work as well as they claim to. They are very expensive - and I was hoping to find out also if it is truly worth the money. It will be gong in the master bath only, not the whole house.  We haven't dealt with them enough to know if they are all that they claim to be.  Looking for anyone that can give us some feed back, positive or negative.  I figure with such a great group, I could get some real experienced answers.

Thanks for any info you can share.

Bonnie

PS:  I didn't have time to do a search yet.  I'm trying to move forward quickly because I'm not fond of cool showers.

One of the guys in my office has designated himself the "green agent" and actually did a presentation about these in our last team meeting.  He presented a product made by rinnert or something like that.  The system definetely did have possiblities.  The research he did said the gas models were super effiicient but the electricty didn't show much savings.

Thanks for the info,  I've had a little time to do a little more research, but would still love to hear from a few people who are actually using them

David,

I have 5 installed at my office, home and rental properties. They can work very well, but there are some installation issues, I've put together this page about tankless water hater installation problems and how to avoid them.

Thanks for the great info in your link,  that really made me slow down and plan the process even more.

Have a great year.
