The first and foremost thing that anyone buying a home needs to do is speak with a lender. You need to know how much you can afford to purchase (in the lender’s eyes since they are the one with the money). No matter what you think you can afford, only the lender can tell you what they are willing to lend you for a mortgage. That number is critical before shopping for a house. The last thing any buyer wants to do is to fall in love with a home they can’t have.
So what happens when the lender tells you that you have some credit issues? How do you go about repairing your credit? I’ve attached a link to a very helpful article entitled “Credit Repair: How to Move From Rejection to Approval,” but if you need assistance navigating your way through repairing your credit, give me a call. I have lenders on my team who would be happy to assist you in getting your credit repaired as quickly as possible so that you can move on and begin shopping for your new home.
