What to offer other than me?

Have you ever wondered or asked yourself "Why am I not able to establish great Referral Partners?" Partners who bend over backwards to give my card out to people they run accross who are in need of a mortgage. Well, I have been asking myself that for the past year.

 

I mean I have literally been to EVERY (maybe not Every, but close) Presentation, Seminar, Webinar, Software Release, trial offer, marketing company, etc on how to gain referral partners, and I have gained a ton of valuable information, but nothing that I could say 100% really increased by business relationships.

 

I have joined local Chamber of Commerce's, BNI Groups, B2B Groups, Real Estate Networking outfits on MEETUP.com. I have walked into Realtor Offices, Presented to small-medium groups, drip campaigns, cold calls, email blasts, blah blah blah....and it got better results but still I didn't really see the results I expected to see for the amount of time/effort I was spending.

 

At one point I said "Ok, I will bring something of more substance other than myself to the table"...so I started buying and creating fresh leads to provide to potential Referral Partners, hoping for the "Givers Gain" ideology to kick off...and I would find that the leads were not being worked or they weren't getting appreciated by the person I was giving them to, so still I didn't get the results I wanted. But it opened my eyes on a lot of business peoples work ethics.

 

Finally, it just hit me. If someones going to want to work with me, they will. All I can do is get out there, meaning do as much Market Exposure as I can, and let business people around me know "hey, I am here and Sunny Singh can help." 

 

The point of this post is to hopefully turn it into a thread in which other Real Estate Professionals can chime in and give/receive advice on options or tools they currently use to "Get the word out", meaning gain more Market Exposure.

Please feel free to share some ideas/stradegies on gaining more Referral Partnerships. 

 

I have shared some insight on what I am personally actively doing, and I would love to hear (and can imagine others would as well) what others are doing, call it collectively brainstorming so that we ALL do well. 

 

Disclaimer: If you feel its too personal to share, no worries! But keep in mind, there is such a thing as GOOGLE, and also the ideology that "If your doing it, chances are someone else did it first." I say this so you don't think this is just a post to take your strategies, because chances are you did not invent it, you learned it from someone else in your field who was doing it first. And this post isn't for taking, its for giving and collectively brainstorming.
