Video blogs on AR. Do you really follow them?

I usually don't. For me it is often such a waste of time...

Video Blogging... New Fancy-Shmancy?I would only click if this is someone I know and expect to be captivating/entertaining, or something so short, that it would not eat a lot of my time.

I ran into a video blog by Matthias Allred What is a credit report and what are the credit scores that are available to me?

I watched a few of his blogs before as well, and. Actually, Matthias does a good job. It is a well narrated video, good pace...But what is the point of looking at Matthias all the time? I could understand when there is a visual dynamic, not just watching Matthias speak.

Text is different. I can skip a paragraph or two, read slower or faster, I have control. With the video I have nothing. I have to watch at the author's pace, and there is nothing I can do about it.

Maybe it make sense to do both so that people have a choice?

First of all, I enjoyed your use of the word "Shmancy":) If 80/20 is the standard. And the speaker is a decent presenter. My vote would probably be 80% for text and 20% for video. If the speaker was special the percentage for video would probably increase.
