There are just so many blogs on activerain it's hard to keep up. You could spend 8 hours a day for a whole week reading all you can and you will still miss out on a lot of good blogs. That is actually a good thing though. It means people are learning and even better people are sharing.

The people who have joined activerain have brought so much to the community. There are people who have been in the real estate business since before the internet. They have forgotten more than I have learned in my short time in the business.  Now they have a chance to share that knowledge with other people before they forget. All you got to do is write about it in your blog. You can teach an old dog a new trick.

The more people keep blogging the better they will get. It's natural just like learning anything else. Nothing replaces repetition when it comes to learning. Remember the first paper you wrote in school. If you do that is amazing because I sure don't. But you know you got better as time went on. There is always room to learn something new in your life no matter how old you may be.

I have so many ideas I plan on trying out in the next year because of what I have read here. There is a blog for almost any aspect of the business that I can do a search and there it is. I can see what has worked for some one and what to avoid if I can. Any one who is new to the business will be so far ahead of the learning curve if they would just sit down and read what is right here on activerain. I feel like a kid in a candy store and I can have anything I want.

Thank you activerain

My discovery matches yours John. The Search engine is my number 1 tool. Talk about a guiding light. As many of us are scheduling attempts to reach new levels of knowledge and skills in 2007, we are aware there is a high risk factor, especially if you stretch beyond the comfort zone.  It gives me even more courage to know that the aR search bar is here, along with familiar faces.

I agree with you regarding blogging. Again, I am constantly looking to the search bar for guidance because there seems to be a lot of do's and don'ts. I am sure I cross the line daily in some way, but I am working at it.

Every so often I go out on a limb. When I realize I have no visiters and NO comments I figure I need to go back and check my blog for: offensivenes, relevance, was it me-me-me, could anyone benefit by reading what I wrote--and, I am still working on tagging.

In a way ActiveRain is like one big 24-hour mastermind session. Always open, always an answer, always a word of encouragement where needed. John, how did Operation Santa Clause go this year?

Suzi I was lost and just browsing around until I noticed the search bar. Now I can just type in a word and find what I am looking for.

You have to go out on a limb sometimes to see what works. This is part of the learning process so don't worry you will find your niche if you keep trying.

Look at that I just learned how to upload a photo by reading How to Add Pictures in Your Blog by Kristal Kraft using the seaarch tool.

John it went well. They were a little short but it was expected. There was a lot of donations to help out the flood victims we had earlier this year.

Okay, to be notified when you personally blog again, do I need to make sure that we are associated and the notify block is checked?
