So I have always heard that just being active, doing something, will in turn create something postive.

So last Saturday I decided I would go check on one of my listings that happens to be vacant in Spanaway, WA.  We had had some bad weather and it had been a week since I had seen the house, so I thought I wold go make sure that no damage had occured.  While I was there I thought I would vacuum the floors, prune old roses, etc... Just thought I could spruce it up just incase some showings increased.

Well as I was driving down the street I saw a pickup truck in the drive way.  I pull up and this gentleman gets out and says.  "Yea I saw this home online and thought I would come drive by it.  My wife and I had just recinded on a deal that went to Foreclosure"  I said Well I am the listing agent I would be happy to show it to you.

As fait would have it, they wrote an offer tonight (Sunday) that will be presented to my seller tomorrow.

Real Estate is amazing.  You just never know when you will find new business, but it is the truth when I say do something active as it pertains to real estate even if it just going out to vaccuum.

Like they say you create your luck.  That could only have happened if you were out there.

It happens to many good people and it was your time.  It sounds like you get both sides also.  Great Job.

Jim, it's so true. I constantly remind my agents that you can only control your actions, not the results. By doing enough of the right "actions" you'll soon start to see results!

Great job Jim, I tell that to my staff and agents all the time, doing something is much better than nothing.  Great blog.  "I need to go drive by more of my listings."

Alright Jim! I have to admit, I haven't got into pruning, mowing etc.  my listings other than to have my sellers make sure its done. Maybe thats the ticket!
