Targeting Real Estate Investors

Many of us count on the repeat business from our active real estate investors.  Long term relationships with real estate investors can add much to the core business of real estate professionals.

All of us will want to attend the ActiveRain webinar on March 21st.

Finding investment homesIn our continued effort to get outside of ActiveRain and online marketing related classes at ActiveRain University, we bring you Greg Rand, CEO of OwnAmerica for a webinar on Wednesday, March 21st at 10am Pacific Time (1pm Eastern Time).

The National Association of REALTORS® reported that in January of 2012, 23% of the homes purchased were purchased by 'investors'. One in every four homes purchased (forgive my slight fudging of the stats. My math team teacher Mr. Freel would be furious) in the first month of this year was purchased by an investor. That's something to think about especially if you have nothing built into your business plan of how to attract and service this segment of the market.

If you are not actively pursuing this part of the market, you are essentially giving up a quarter of the potential business available to you. Is anyone here willing to turn a blind eye to 1/4 of the market?

If you are, kudos to you, your business must be booming in 2012 already. But if you aren't willing to forsake 23% (back to the real stat, Mr. Freel would be proud) of the home purchases taking place in 2012 we invite you to join us on March 21st.

Greg is going to spend an hour educating us on how to capture and service residential real estate investments as well as give us some great knowledge that we can use to make us smarter than the competition. How do you research and compare potential investment opportunities in real estate against one and other? How can we calculate long term wealth creation and plan a portfolio for our clients future?

I mentioned above we would be getting outside the 'online marketing' related classes with this one, but that may not be entirely true. With social sharing becoming such an integral part of how people consume their news and even their advertising, Greg is also going to show us some great ways to create compelling content for our social media channels taking advantage of your knowledge of the real estate market.

At the end of the day, real estate investors want to deal with an agent who brings skills to the table that differentiate them from the competition. Are you going to walk away after an hour as an absolute expert on the topic? Highly unlikely, that's going to take a little more work on your part, but at the very least you'll have a chance to improve your understanding of what it will take to be that agent that can begin to tackle that 23% of your market. (Yes, I realize these are national stats and real estate is local, but investors are everywhere)

When I set this class up with Greg, one of the things that was very important for me is that someone listening in on the hour be able to walk away with some things that they can immediately implement in their business. Greg has promised to deliver on that.

You can check him out here on Fox News Business as well as take a look at what some of the folks have to say who have heard him speak or follow his show. Speaking of 'his show', Greg also hosts a monthly radio show on 77 WABC AM Radio out of New York. Care to listen?

Register today and see you on March 21st!
