My luck with Bluetooth headsets has not been good but I am still anxiously awaiting the new Jawbone Bluetooth headset ($119.99) which should be released soon in silver, red, and black. You can send the company, Aliph, an email to pre-order. They are offering free UPS Ground shipping to any customer who emails their name, address, and color preference to buy@aliph.com by January 15th. This headset will work with any Bluetooth enabled phone.

Using an adaptive sound technology developed at Lawrence Livermore Labs, the headset incorporates two microphones and a unique voice-activity sensor. When placed against the cheek, the sensor actually detects the vibrations produced by speech, rather than picking up the sound from your mouth. The Jawbone also uses adaptive microphones that capture and cancel out background noise, so incoming audio also is enhanced and adjusts to the varying noise levels for your location. You can see a video demo of this technology by clicking here.

Craig, that is a really nice headset.  I also have bluetooth in my car that works great.  I can't wait to use this in the office.

I just got my Jawbone in black yesterday. It is amazing. I can crank my stereo and the person on the other end does not know I have music on. All they hear is my voice. The incoming audio is also LOUD. One big problem I've always had with bluetooth headsets is not being able to hear well on my end. The Jawbone is actually too loud on its default volume.

I need to take back my recommendation of the Jawbone. I am on my third Jawbone now because of various build quality issues and faulty operation. The barrel that holds the ear loop is extremely weak and moves up and down after some time. This is especially annoying because it rattles as you walk around. The other major problem with the unit is the ear loops are very week. They easily bend or snap even if just in a loose coat pocket.

The Jawbone would be a great concept if it was more durable and designed to fit all types of ears and faces better. Maybe Jawbone 2.0 will be better.
