White County Arkansas resident comes out of hibernation.

I have a friend who just does farms.  He loves farms and he is extremely knowledgeable about them.  He does not mind getting out and tramping around the farm and specializes in listing or selling farmland.

Now he can take his phone with him and send back interesting pictures.  He found this one a lot of fun.  He says it is a copperhead coiling up from the hole where he has been hibernating.  It wasn't clear to me whether the copperhead comes up head first or tail first.  But it is a fun picture, isn't it?

Oh Anita, just go bake another loaf of ciabatta!

More snakes, more snakes please!!! I have spotted several snake holes in the yard around the house recently.

Here's a king snake face to face residing near the plumbing in the catacombs. I was installing wiring for a water feature just outside.

I found his/her shedded skin near the resting place.

Anita, please don't go!  Forgive me!  It's that BAD DON that put up that last snake.

I shouldn't be answering either one of you two!

Let the record show that as we seem to have a resident garden snake/King snake or whatever it is called...living here for the past 20 years, I have sorta grown used to seeing 'it' and don't freak out.  It looks like Don's snake.  Last spring I was quietly reading the paper and sipping coffee on the deck and mr. garden snake slithered by ON MY DECK of all places.  I just calmly watched it then continued my reading and sipping.

Anita, how can you admit after chewing on Don and me that you actually have a PET snake of your own!  You love that snake!  Perhaps Don and I will ship you a companion or two for it.

Interesting that the snakes are coming out already. This morning at my house, I found two baby snakes wriggling toward the back door. The rains had washed them onto the patio. Will teach me NOT to keep the door propped open, even when the weather's nice.

Wow. I love the snake pictures. I don't want to come across any of them in real life, but keep posting them here!
