Colorado... ahhh, gorgeous but if you dont like the weather give it 15 minutes.

I have to say I see some pretty amazing pictures from AR members from all over North America. Some, especially those great beach/ocean pics, make me daydream for a minute about dipping my toes in the ocean and feeling the sand under my feet. Reality though is Colorado is among some of the most beautiful places in the country as well and I am blessed to call it home but I have to admit it has some of the craziest weather at times I have ever seen.

In one day it can go from sunny and warm to snow storm to hail to sunshine with a rainbow?

I remember a day in July we got such a severe storm with a lot of hail it looked like it snowed as all the streets and peoples yards were white?

Well in the last 2 days Colorado is back ot its old self. High 60's and sunshine Mon, Low 70s and sunshine Tue, with many fortunate enough to have a motorcycle or convertible enjoying the warmth and sun, to today 20's overcast with a sheet of ice on the ground at morning. Afternoon brought a peek of sunshine and now forecast is this weekend its supposed to be back in the 60s with sunshine?

I say if you like some change and get tired o constant sunshine and perfect temps with no seasons (boo hoo lol) or if you are in a place with overcast weather and a lot of humidity you may want to consider Colorado. Just about everything you could want (minus an ocean) and sometimes all 4 seasons in a day!

I love this place and I think the 300+ days of sunshine help us all laugh when the bad weather does arrive as we know... give it 15 minutes and its bound to change!

I completely understand. Two days ago it was 84 degrees here. Today at the same time of day, only 54 degrees. Huh?

David - "getting tired of constant sunshine"? You gotta be kiddingme. I don't get tired of good Florida weather (most of the time), but I now that Colorado is beautiful. One day I will go there for mushroom picking. Can't really do it in Florida

It is abeautiful state. Went to the top of Pikes Peak and still remember the beauty.

Now, if you do get tired of it.

Paradise is here in Boca.

David Colorado is gorgeous. I lived there for 5 years or so and never got tired of the gorgeous views - or the sunny weather!  Our weather sounds like your - we in the 80's and then we bopped on back down to 60 which now seems cold!

David,

SO true.  Funny, now that we are into spring, you might not have to wait 15 minuets, just look out the other side of the house.  I remember one spring, sunny on the east side, and snowing on the west side.  Way bizarre.

Bro -  Debbie and I were talking yesterday where we might want to retire of course she wants to head back east where she lived most of her life.  I suggested Colorado a place we both like.  My only hold back would be the cold winters but I think I would adjust quickly.  Of course this all will be many years down the road but for now we will dream about retiring and heading off in the sunset one way or the other :)

Hola - ALL!!!
Thanks so much for your comments I LOVE it out here. DO admit after 15 years find myself longing for a beach during an extended winter at times but truth is I like the change of seasons and in Denver even when we get dumped on roads and everything is usually sunny and clear a day later! Its ALL good!

Peace

PS - Jon yes I am kidding of getting tired of Sunshine (lol)
