My Fitness Pal...
There are many of us here in the 'Rain that are becoming more aware of our health and are doing something about it. While Rodger Mucci's group "Take it off in the Rain" is a step in the right direction, I was turned on to an App that adds accountability and more. It is called MyFitnessPal.
MyFitnessPal gives you the online convenience to access your daily fitness goals from your MAC, PC, Droid, iPhone or iPad. You can track everything from your daily food intake, wight loss/gain, exercise routines and there is even an online "Friends" section for encouragement.
I have checked out a lot of online Apps and by far, this is the best I have seen yet! Check it out. It takes but a few minutes to set up your profile and you can even share your updates on Twitter or FaceBook. So C'mon and join me online - my log-in is radnorlake. Together, we can all take it off in the rain, the house, where you work...

My husband is going to love this app! I am a "weight watcher", so I get the Etools app which is very similar, but you must be a member to access. Tracking every bite and every movement is working for me! Can't wait to share this with Roger (Hahn, not Mucci).
Michael, interesting for those in need ...i prefer to always eat healthy and exercise well...well i'm fortunate to say i've never needed an app but go for it man and we want to see the before and after Atlas pose!
Michael, how many calories do I burn setting up the app? Just curious! Enjoy your day!
Good morning Michael,
It sounds like a great app and one I can see you using this for great accountability! Glad to see you are back and obviously rejuvenated!
Another app? I am amazed at the number of options that are available. Good luck with your goal.
Michael- I love this and it's especially good for someone who needs to see in front of him/her exactly what they've been doing... calories, carbs, fat,..!
Mike - that is pretty cool; I have not yet used on of these, but may be needing to in the very near future...
Hey my friend, anything that will help you achieve your goal is a good thing in my book. Here's hoping Fitness Pal does just that for you.
Michael, it the good old days, it was don't eat, if you eat and you think it's bad, don't eat it, and get out and exercise the body. The Internet made it different but not necessarily better as the right way is still to not eat and execise.
Another cool app..there are soo many now days....I don't usually use any LOL...nice shout out to Roger too!
Michael, I'm checking out the myfittnesspal today. I'm going out on a limb here. I have wanted to take off many pounds for a long time and today is my start day! Thanks for your blog, you got me started!
Michael, I'll download this app. Lord, knows I need to take off about 30 pounds but seems like I can't get or stay motivated. You know the saying, The road to hell is paved with good intentions." I need to kick myself in gear! Kudos to you my friend for sticking with it and helping we slackers just do it or at least think more about it.
If I ever get the courage to take it all off I'll be sure to check out the app. In the meantime I'll just keep on carrying around my extra baggage.
Oh I really need to take off those pounds ..My excercise was walking the mall and finding a wonderful deal on a coach bag 75% off
I am checking it out right now and sending a link to my wife, thanks for your recomendation
