Yep, it’s today. Women's day is hugely popular in Russia where I originally from. It's some sort of admiration day to toast to mothers, wives, girlfriends, daughters, etc. Before Americans implanted idea of Valentine's, it was sort of sweethearts’ day too. Flowers are a must otherwise you guys are in so much trouble. On March 8th Russian women are to be complimented and spoiled in all different ways. I remember sometimes it was quite comical. He would invite people over to celebrate and show her his love and appreciation. She would cook, serve, clean after party and fall asleep exhausted by drunk husband. God bless America!
