Baby, I'm back

Home Stager with First Impressions by Elizabeth

Wow I've been gone a while now. Lots of things have happened since I last wrote, I got married, I got diagnosed with cancer, missed out planned blessing on the beach and "family" honeymoon, had major surgery and spent several months recovering. It was a slow process and I'm thankful to my husband and daughters for taking such good care of me. I'm also very blessed to have had wonderful doctors and nurses.

I did one vacant home staging in the last months, and it was for someone I know so it wasn't a high pressure job and I must say I was very pleased with the results!

So now I'm feeling much closer to 100% and I'm ready to dive head first into some new projects. On Tuesday I had my first redesign consultation in quite some time, and I admit I was nervous as I prepared for the appointment. My client is a man I met almost a year ago at a Chamber of Commerce meeting and his goal is to freshen up his house for his own enjoyment now, and to have it more buyer friendly for when he puts it on the market a few years down the road. It's a big house in a lovely neighborhood, and it has great bones.... It does however need updating. I've sent out my report and am hoping for another meeting to nail down just what he's going to let me do. I'm hoping for new countertops, a few new pieces of furniture, a major update on the art and accessories and paint all around. I'm really excited to get moving on this and I've had a great time choosing paint colors, countertop, and planning in my minds eye how to best showcase his house and make it a more enjoyable home for him to live in for the next few years. The one thing I've lost is my carpet cleaning man, does anyone in my area (or out of it) have suggestions for me... either private or a chain that you've had luck with?

It's great to be back and I hope all of you have been enjoying success and happiness while I've been away.

Welcome back, Elizabeth!  Rough ride for a bit - I can relate, having had some medical "challenges" to deal with myself.  It does feel good when life starts to feel "normal" again.
