I recently received a great little quote from a friend of mine that reads

"Worry Looks around, Sorry looks back, Faith looks Up"

It got me thinking about how true that is and how important it is to keep the faith and not live our lives paranoid about what the other guy is doing or going to do or whether or not we are doing enough, or doing it right. Faith is not an easy thing to have. Having faith means you have to relinquish some control and trust in the unknown.  (notice I did not say all control)

I have done that. It is not always easy and it is oftentimes scary, but boy does it feel good. I have complete faith that things will work themselves out. As long as I keep working hard and reaching towards my goals, personal, professional and anything else, my faith will get me through.

Faith in God is Faith in yourself and if you cannot have faith in yourself who else will?

Keep the faith

We are all deserving of greatness!

I believe that completely....   life is good   Keep Looking Up......

Right there with you. I love the phrase, "Work as if it depends upon you and pray as if it depends upon God and both will occur" or something to that effect.

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I tend to worry too much... thanks for the reminder to have faith!

Robert- I know, that is true. So much easier said than done, but htat is why it is so important to surround yourself with the kind of people that will encourage and nurture your ability to keep the faith because you are worth it

Michael-You are welcome!  I too worry more than I should and I am always reminding myself that worry is a waste of time. It resolves nothing and only serves to hinder us and bring us down. I promise to worry less if you promise to worry less

Kevin-Sometimes I try to do it on a daily basis. Sometimes I forget and that should never happen

Love it.  Do you do yoga as well and I'm asking because of your little lady on the page?

I have a class but need to reschedule at the end of the day.  So hard to keep the time available with our jobs.

Thanks for the nice message.

Sally,

This is a great positive message.  You have to have faith or you'll get los, although it certainly isn't always easy.  So many times going through my daily grind, I often have to stop and remind myself to have faith.  I often forget, but I know that as long as I do the right thing, stay positive and in good spirits everything will work out.

12/19/2007 07:29 PM by Martin Abeshaus (ZIPVO)

Martin- Attitude is everything and it is easy to forget. We let things get to us, but the second we let it go and have faith that it will all be okay, it usually is.

Sally

Thanks for your post, as that subject has hit me quite square in the face over recent months.

I am fortunate enough to live in Orange County where I attend Saddleback Church.  Rick Warren, our main Pastor, is the author of The Purpose Driven Life.

I encourage all of you who have the belief in God to read it.  It really humbles you, but most of all puts everything into true prospective of how we should live our lives.  I am not preaching here, but only citing that it is a very eye opening book.  I have learned immensely from it.

May we all remember the true meaning of Christmas.

God Bless and Merry Christmas

Wayne-Merry Christmas to you as well. I have that book on tape and have listened to it in my car. It is the way we shoul strive to live our lives. It is a challenge to do because life, society, and our own impatience pulls us away from the simpleness of it.
