This weekend we decided to hop on a train from Poughkeepsie and visit the Big Apple for the day. As always, NY City was spectacular at Christmas time and we especially appreciated the unseasonably warm day. I enjoyed the window displays at Macy's on 34th Street, and Saks in Mid-Town. Little Italy was especially festive and also very deliciouso! At the end of the day, we took in a peaceful and quiet moment inside St. Patrick's cathedral - what a beautiful manger scene. But I have to say, the tree in Rockefeller Center this year is by far the best one I have seen! ....Proximity to NY City is certainly a great reason to consider a move to Dutchess County, NY!
