I have been participating in some outside activities...outside of Activerain...when I do that I feel like I am having an affair. I will say because of Activerain many awesome opportunities have come my way.

Not long ago I received a couple of e-mails from fuelmyblog to participate in the book, the great part was it was to be published in hard cover or paperback. Imagine Me, Midori Miller, in a book and being connected with fuelmyblog and yahoo.com. To me a pretty smart move.

The proceeds would go to worthy charity. Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières As this was going on so was the the mybloglog contest. Got so caught up in that contest In my mind...I thought No Guts...No Glory...I may not win but I am going to do my best to at least get in the top 100. Imagine that ranked 31.

I left my page for the book at the last minute. Thank goodness for different timezones...for that reason alone I made the deadline.

That book photo a little different than my My avatar. My avatar represents community and what it means... whether we agree or disagree we are still one! We are all different. All with different training, skills and backgrounds but regardless we are Activerain.

While Activerain does not define me...it certainly has had an impact on who I have become. A better trainer, a better manager, a better communicator, you get the picture...I just keep getting better! Kinda like fine wine!

The picture represents the entire Activerain community, what the community means to me...not the network..it's the people! All the people...each voice counts...each one matters and each one can make a difference. Activerain helped me achieve that...and my voice is getting louder...and louder!

Activerain was the beginning of blogging for me. Without the interactions, the friendships and reading other's posts...blogging would be very different..Activerain community.... "YOU GUYS ROCK!" I was thinking what if no one ever commented on any post...it would be more like a task...a chore..of typing away..more typing.. just another task to fulfill.

I purchased my book yesterday...hard cover of course! For me...its the beginning..Looking hard at my hopes and dreams..working toward bigger goals....it's a reminder of my roots and where I started...and where I could possibly go. These are just more ah ha moments I store in my little vault. Thank You Activerain and the members... "You GUYS Rock!"

p.s. For the great minds and creators...yes...I know we get you going sometimes...but hey isn't that what you wanted?.... after all you named us "Activerain!"
