The Frady Cove NEIGHborhood ~ Friday Fotos

Frady Cove is one of my favorite NEIGHborhoods in Jackson County. It’s a great location with a rural feel but only 5 minutes to town and 10 minutes to Western Carolina University. We have clients who are considering making an offer on a new home in the Frady Cove neighborhood and because they had to return home to Chicago, I met with the builders on the property to tie up a few loose ends.

For years I’ve enjoyed seeing the farm on the corner of Frady Cove Road and Blake Branch Road photographing the two horses and the mule. They always look healthy and happy. With the weather in the mid 60s on Thursday and the freshly mown hay, these guys were feeling pretty content.

When I got done with the builders I returned to the field and pulled off the road. I thoroughly enjoyed an in depth conversation with the mule. He traveled from the other side of the field to talk about current events. Well, I guess I did most of the talking but he’s a really good listener.

It would be great if the buyers and the sellers come to terms on this house because the buyers and their little granddaughter would completely enjoy living in the Frady Cove NEIGHborhood with these friendly critters.

Wouldn't that be fun!  And I have a question, please, ma'am.  What program do you use to watermark your pictures? Are you a Picniker, or is it a different program?  Hope you are all doing well.

Sometimes what we need is a really good listener - s/he allows us to work out our own thoughts/feelings/ As always, your photos are wonderful. Your subjects are very cooperative, I must say.  Ditto Mimi, have you switched from Picnik to something new?

Now how do you know he was listening? He could have been faking it! Does it matter? You enjoyed yourself! Enjoy your day!

Mimi and Anne, 'til they rip the program from my cold hands, I'll be using Picnik while exploring other avenues.  I did attend a Real Estate Photography course the other day and the instructor was using Photo Shop Elements 10 for editing purposes and that looks like a really good alternative to Picnik but it means purchasing the software and only being able to download it to probably 2 maybe 3 computers.  I really like the web based programs so I can get on and edit from anywhere.  That's what's keeping me from looking into Picasa further.  I'll have to choose something soon though, won't I?

Roger, he was a good listener and while I've spoken to many a man who turned out to be an ass (no offense to your gender - some women have fallen into the same category), this ass was certainly no horse's butt!  He was gentle, curious and engaging.  Next time, I'll try to have apples or carrots in the car.

Wayne, I could tell by the way he twitched his ears and looked that he was fully involved in the conversation but you are right...it wouldn't matter because I did enjoy myself.

Good morning Mona. What terrific pictures! Sounds like a wonderful place to be, and I hope the builder was as good a listener as the mule.

Allen, I need to come meet Big Mac (interesting name from a vegetarian!)  I think he'd be a great subject for photoblogging.

Roger, you crack me up and I yes I surely can imagine.

Belinda, giddy up indeed.  We're so lucky here that there are pastures in easy driving range to visit and photograph the horses and mules.

Jon, thanks.  I'm hoping that I was the best communicator and he was a good and patient listener.  ;-D
