Urgent fight against SB777- Forcing to teach alternative sexual practices are normal at School

Urgent to all Californians:Keep our schools free of teaching alternate sexual preferences at the elementary school level. Let our children be kids and innocent for as long as they can.

Please help to get this on our ballot by June, 2008. This petition is being promoted by FOcus on the Family and Dr. James Dobson. Focus on the Family.com

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger recently signed Senate Bill 777 into law. Under the guise of "protecting" homosexual students from bullying,

SB 777 bans any teaching or activities in schools that "promote a discriminatory bias" against homosexuals, transgenders. bisexuals, and those with gender (perceived or actual) issues.
References to "mom and dad" will be considered promoting bias against homosexuals. Any school activities such as having a prom king and queen or gender-specific bathrooms would also be discriminatory. Children as young as five will be subjected to hearing about sexual lifestyles...Do you want your child or Grandchild to be taught about alternate sexual lifestyles like homosexuality and transexuals at that young age? I don't.. Protect our children now and traditions that we hold dear.

SB 777 seeks to normalize alternative lifestyles in California schools with special recognition for homosexuality, bisexuality, and transexuality

Parents want the assurance that when their children go to school they will learn the fundamentals of reading, writing and arithmetic-not social indoctrination regarding alternative sexual lifestyles.

Bullying needs to be stopped at home or a sit down with the Teachers and Principal. Changing Bathroom door signs at school or giving up our right to have a Prom King and Queen Tradition for Homecoming will not stop bullying.

Enough is enough, we need to stick up for your own needs as a majority in this country. Our silence only deems acceptance in 2008.

Thankfully, Save Our Kids has started a referendum to overturn this outrageous assault on our values. The campaign must obtain over 500,000 signatures to qualify the referendum for the June 2008 ballot. Please visit your church petition drive table to sign a petition today!

This is why I love home-schooling so much. It's crazy that we should have to have these things forced into our children's brains at such an early age. I hope you get the signatures you need, Mary.

Many folks here could care less about S.B.777. After all its just in California. Right?

Listen up people. What happens in California especially in the schools has a tendency to spread across all 50 states. California sets our public schools curriculum. I was told this years ago during a heated discussion with a school superintendent.

Sometimes, I think that is a better alternative than the public schools. If the agenda continues as it has over the years, it may be the only answer.

Mary, I think I'm going to be ill. Why in heavens name can't we just stick to the basic values??? I am not judgemental of alternate lifestyles but for crying out loud, let's not teach our children that it is an option! They will figure that out in adulthood. This is a shame. This is shameful.

Let me reiterate. I do not judge the alternative lifestyle. But, I don't judge people that kill deer for deer meat either and I don't want the schools teaching about "how to hunt deer".

I don't judge about peoples piercings but I don't want schools teaching our children that it's okay to put holes in your nose and navel.

This is an "ALTERNATE" lifestyle which should remain just that. They have no business teaching our youth "ALTERNATIVES". Parents only have that right.

This makes my blood boil and I will excuse myself to grab an ice pack for my forehead.

Bill, No it's not okay to teach that ALTERNATE is okay. Not by our schools. Just say NO to drugs...the alternate is Just say YES to drugs. Is that okay?

The alternate to right is wrong. Do they teach both?

The alternate to "not cheating" is "cheating". Is that okay?

The alternate to "no capital punishment in our schools" is, "spank our children and keep them in line." Is that okay?

The alternate to Arnold Swharzenegger is Hillary Clinton. Is that Okay^^%^%$$#////????

Debra, Trust me Bill was being sarcastic there. That being said it is a sad state of affairs when i,m not aloud to step on school property to hand out a Bible, your not supposed to pray before sporting events, we have a hard time even getting into prisons to hand out bibles but our schools can teach homosexuality. What bothers me is that there are not 100,000christians marching on Californias State buildinf.

Hey Guys, I'm not very good at keeping my mouth shut. Really Bill, I knew you were being sarcastic but the thought of anyone being able to make that statement just ruffled my feathers. I'm just a hot head sometimes. I feel shackled because I can't do anything about it and feel helpless. Hugh, my husband and I were just talking about that very thing!!! We should gather multitudes of Christians and stand our ground. Where were the Californians when they let this happen????????? Why do we have to hear about this from Mary (I mean that in the kindest way, Mary) instead of our people? Thank you Mary for bringing this to our attention. I will be taking a sleeping pill tonight. Dear Deb,

I am too in love with God to care about being politically correct. I only have to answer to one person and that is the man upstairs.

I was thrilled to find out yesterday that Focus on the family has taken this and is running with this. Thank God for James Dobson.

Please pray for God to put a hedge of protection on all those of us that are willing to fight for this and our other fights to keep GOd in America first, where he belongs.

Thanks for all your help and comments everyone! It is a sad day in AMerica when we have to fight on a petiton to get our right to vote on what we want our children exposed to. Guess Arnold is not going to get many votes after this one slipped by him.
