Spring is officially a little over a week away, but the signs of spring's advance is evident to the camera. The  ice on lakes and ponds are beginning to separate from the land around it, soon it will be no longer safe to walk on.

The Ice along the river has broken apart to reveal the deep blue hue of a winters worth of accumulations.

The brooks, streams and rivers are all flowing again. Sending the water south towards the farmers fields and eventually the Atlantic ocean.

The snow mass is mainly on the peaks above 4,000 feet ,Mt Washington at 6,300 ft will have enough snow to ski Tuckerman's ravine until June.

Still some snow on the lesser peaks and in the shaded woods - but the tree tops are bare.

There is always some resistance to making a move in the middle of winter, but with spring brings new property interest. It is easy to inspect the roof, walk the land and if successful move furniture and family after the snow is gone. If we assume a financed deal averages 45 days from contract to closing...we are now looking at nearly June 1st for your new home - to be yours.

Time to look and lock in your best deal in the White Mountains of New Hampshire is right now. While skiing will continue for another month due to aggressive man made snow making…the Lawns and sidewalks will be bare in no time at all. Ski in the morning while the snow is firm from the prior nights cool down and schedule a real estate showing after noon – SOON!

Rene...it is increasingly hard to convince folks we still have great skiing at Loon, lets face it if it's gone in their yard they assume no one still has snow. The first Photo in my blog was taken today 3/11/12 in my yard. We still have snow but it will go fast...from here on in.

I remember winter camping at Tuckerman's Ravine. Still to this day, it's the best camping trip I've ever taken. So beautiful there.
