I'm on Spring Break this week with my kids, but staying here in San Antonio, Texas. I used to live in Dallas (1989-1998) and while there is much to do we found ourselves traveling here for vacations. So, we moved here. Now that I live here, why travel somewhere else? I do for the summer, like to travel internationally, but for mini-vacations there is much to do. I'm posting 3 recent blogs that vacationers might appreciate. This week I'll be blogging about what I did here and include a few photos. Today's agenda (Monday):

1.  Get passports for my kids. We're heading to Cancun, Mexico this summer and the kids have never traveled internationally.

2.  Check out a local restaurant - not sure which one yet. It will be downtown since we'll be in that area today.

3.  List a house in Seguin, Texas - a small town east of San Antonio located near the Randolph, AFB auxilliary airport.

Hi Cathy - Almost any kind of break will do, and we need one badly, but rather than hang out here, we're off to Puerto Vallarta on Friday for 6 days, lying on the beach, drinking pina coladas, and watching the pelicans glide over the waves. The place we're staying is on a private beach, and the last time we were there, we watched a sea turtle laying eggs - they have an egg rescue program, and immediately take the eggs to their own incubator facility to hatch, and then release the babies - if we see it again, I'll take some pictures for you.

Hi John - well, yes there are some things I am catching up on but to not be on a schedule, to be in jeans and shorts, and spend time with my kids is a vacation!

HI Dick - Oh how cute! I know you will have a blast and THANK YOU for taking picutres for me! I would love to see a 1 min video. We tried to do a release last year but eggs weren't ready. Have a super, fun time!
