Bloom where You're Planted!

Some time ago Mike Jones wrote a post that included a picture of a Cactus growing out of a rock. It was a great little post and it moved me a Bloom where you're plantedlot.

Yesterday I noticed that my Christmas Cactus had started blooming again. I wrote about it back in January as it had been blooming since before Thanksgiving.

Now it has started blooming again. And it is MARCH! How crazy is that.

I have decided that it likes it's new home and is showing me how much each time it begins to bloom again. I won't be moving this one ever again.

Connie-when I moved to Flroida it was the first time i'd moved from home.  I was home sick and missing Houston.  My goo neighbor told me "Bloom where you are planted."  And, that I did.

Connie, your "Christmas" cactus is a Thanksgiving-Christmas-Easter cactus!  It's wonderful!

Connie what a beautiful Cactus.  Mine has been blooming off and on pretty much all year.  It is in an east facing window and I guess it really likes it as it has grown a lot.  I re-potted it about 2 years ago and since then it has more than doubled in size and lots of blooms. Crazy

Connie, Our cactus started blooming in November, too.  But, then the kitties got at it.  It is looking a little peaked now.  Yours is gorgeous though.

Good evening, Connie. How cool! I guess it must like that spot and don't move it...

Connie, it looks beautiful! Mine is blooming again as well! It seems to like my sunny dining room window. I put it out on my porch for the summer.

Connie, your cactus appears to be all seasons. And your thumb beyond green! I bet your real estate is blooming too!

Kathy - Good for you! I think sometimes we waste time thinking about "what if" and missing the "old familiar" and fail to enjoy the present.

Silvia - I have never enjoyed this cactus so much!

Mary - This one faces west and gets lots of afternoon sun. I'll re-pot it later this spring and see how it does.

Ron -  Kitties and plants don't mix well. LOL

Carie - I agree 100%. I've kind of started blooming myself since moving to this house. :)

Michael - NOT going to move it. I may put it in a bigger pot.

Janice - I'm afraid to change anything at this point. Though my friend says hers does well outside too.

Emily -  Things have been picking up lately! :)

Conrad - That's my thought. I think it likes vodka. I pour my ice into it when I finish my martini. LOL
