What's the best Holiday Gift for Clients?

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Burnet

Every year I try to come up with a good, low cost but high quality gift to give clients I've done business with in the past year.  This is no small feat!  Here's what I've come up with this year and in years past:

A Christmas Tree - our company holds an annual event where clients bring in an unwrapped gift to donate to Toys for Tots (this is optional).  In exchange, the agent gives them a tree or wreath.  Since many people have company over the holidays, they often tell friends and family that their agent gave them their tree.  Great marketing, an easy way to see your clients over the holidays, plus you donate gifts to a great cause.

A signed copy of the book "This House Will Never Be the Same" by Warren Hanson.  You get a great price break when you buy multiple copies and he signs them at no charge.

A Christmas ornament - I've purchased ones that are already boxed because wrapping ornaments can be a pain.

Gift certificate that you pay for only when used - This is actually something a loan officer that I know does.  Each year she sends out a certificate for a box of candy which can be redeemed at one specialty shop near her office.  She sends them to everyone, but only a fraction of the people actually go and get the candy.  She only pays for what people pick up.  It gets at the notion that it is the "thought that counts."

If you have an idea - share it.  I hope these might be of use to you!

Maybe it is a little commercial - but I am big fan of the Starbucks gift cards. I have never had anyone not be extremely happy with it.

I found these neat glasses that make Christmas lights appear as shapes such as snow flakes, santa claus, snowmen and more. These are especially cool if your clients have children. A broker gave me a couple of pair a few years ago and they are a huge hit with my kids. Plus they are only around $1.25 per pair. It is a cool little remember me gift that would go well in a Christmas card.
