10 Ways To Improve Your Home Value:
Everyone wants to add value to their home, especially in the midst of selling. So try a few of these tips that will make your home look great, sell better, and even increase the value!
1) Waterproof Basements: Paying to waterproof your basement is a huge value increaser. Not having to worry about basement flooding is huge. It also allows the buyer to finish and turn the basement into anything they want!
2) Cabinets/Countertops: Space is crucial. Buyers love to have storage and the more unique the cabinets the better. Countertops are usually expensive, and when a buyer looks at a home with great countertops it can be a huge selling point.
3) Electric/Plumbing Fixtures: Fixtures can be gorgeous. Try going with stainless steel, and more modern lamps. People love seeing up to date home accessories. Try to coordinate all the fixtures, and make sure your shower fixtures are easy to use. Just because you’re used to them doesn’t mean that everyone else can.
4) Master Bedrooms: If you have a master bedroom in your house make sure it looks like a retreat. It should feel like an oasis in the midst of chaos for parents, something you can show off to buyers, and a place that they can relax in and look forward to each day.
5) Eco-Friendly: As people become more conscious of their ecological footprint and the damage that can and has been done to the Earth, they become more contentious of what they do. Being able to tell a buyer that the home they are looking at is eco-friendly can be a huge selling point.

7) Curb Appeal: No one wants to look or buy a house that looks crappy. Having a green lawn, clean driveway, and a little bit of landscaping can turn around a property. Also, looking at a well kept lawn can tell future buyers that the owner keeps pride and care of the home.
8) Irrigation Well: Well’s can be a huge seller, and add huge value to your home. Having an irrigation well greatly reduces the water bill to the home owner. Well’s also drive up the value of the house because the buyer would no longer have to pay for public water.
9) Roof: Quality roofing is a plus. Having great, durable, and new roofing adds great value to your home. This reduces leakage, and future home improvement costs.
10) Windows: Windows are not only for looking out of. They bring in the majority of light into a room. Huge windows in kitchens and sitting rooms can reduce electricity costs, and give great views to your yard. New windows are also energy efficient which reduces costs, and water leakage.
