Do pools detract from the value - appeal in your area?  I've had several agents tell me that pools make it harder for a home to sell.

Eleanor - short answer - I have no idea. I personally think that while they do not subtract, they do not necessarily add value either.

It is certainly a smaller pool of buyers out there with a pool as part of their criteria.
